Breeding Birds of Wisconsin Field Course for the UW-Milwaukee Field Station (part 1)

This past week thirteen attendees and instructors traveled to many of Wisconsin's state and federal wildlife areas and natural areas studying the breeding birds of Wisconsin. Some students took the course for university credit; others took it to fulfill personal goals and interests. The week was a great success, with many wonderful opportunities to learn about birds and habitat. In the course of the 8 days afield, we traveled to the following locations (among others), and found 150 species of birds, studied the plant communities where they are found, and gained an appreciation for the biodiversity of our state. Thanks to Owen Boyle, Jenn Callaghan, and Anne Reis for their hard work  this past week.
