On my section of the Long Walk for Birds 2014
- Oconto County, WI, Highway J. Please go to this link to pledge toward
this activity for bird conservation: http://www.wibirdathon.org/nrfw/participantpage.asp?fundid=1873&uid=3530&role=3 ---
My
section is now completed! 104 bird species in 3 1/2 days, almost no
angry dogs on the roadside (no very "serious" ones, anyway -- no bites),
great forest birds along Co Hwys S and Y, and great wetland birds in
Oconto Marsh. Most unusual: a Carolina Wren north of the city of Oconto --
I'm certain the eBird reviewers will have questions about that one. In
one 5-mile stretch, more than 30 Mourning Warblers! More news coming soon on the entire Long Walk effort.
